Fees and funding

Financial matters are a concern for all students, and it is advised to plan ahead thoroughly to ensure you have the finances to complete your studies. In addition to paying tuition fees for the programme you are undertaking, you will need to cover your living expenses. As such you are encouraged to ensure that your Tuition Fee Status Assessment is correct and explore the possibility of securing funding.

The Courtauld Institute of Art’s Tuition Fee rates are set annually and cover enrolment, tuition and supervision for each academic year or term that you are enrolled as a student. Tuition fees are subject to change each academic year.

Publicly funded higher-education institutions in the UK typically charge two tiers of fees – a lower ‘UK’ fee, and a higher ‘Overseas’ fee.

Your fee status can be determined by various criteria, often tied to residency rather than nationality or citizenship.

Please see our Fee Status – What fees do I pay? page for guidance on determining your fee status.
