The Fashion Sense? project has been designed alongside the Renoir and The New Era exhibition at Ulster Museum. Using Renoir’s La Loge (1874) as a starting point, students are asked to create a cover and pages of a zine, making a comment on fashion and identity in contemporary culture.

Download the Fashion Sense? teacher sourcebook for source material and analysis, learning activities and guidance on how the project can be run in secondary schools and colleges.

Watch the short films created by Courtauld Institute of Art students of MA History of Dress to find out more about aspects of fashion and dress depicted in La Loge.
