Using an artist biography:

This section is designed as a listening activity which can be used with a whole class. It encourages learners to listen out for key facts, in order to answer the questions on their corresponding worksheet.

You will find:

Suggested Extension Activity:

Create an Artist’s Biography Timeline:

In previous projects, we have extended this task for higher level ESOL learners by supporting further online research into their chosen artist and asking them to create a biographical timeline, using collaged text and image either independently, or in collaboration with other learners.

Learners are then encouraged to present their timeline, whilst the rest of the group listen carefully and ask relevant questions.
